I am interested in studying chemistry in college while pursuing a career in medicine.
Here are some of my credentials:

Unweighted GPA: 3.86
Weighted GPA: 4.77
ACT Composite: 32 (got the same score 4 times, 34 superscored)
Class rank - 3/285 but this year my school got rid of class rank and wont be reporting it (yes I am peaved)
I go to a top tier private school, best in the area.
Income: Above 250k

I am a 4 year member of the varsity golf team. I am being recruited by mostly DII and DIII schools all over the country. Won a state championship this past season. I've received a bunch of honors and awards, like All Conference and Scholar Athlete.
I am also on the bass fishing team (actually a varsity sport.. who knew?) and we qualified for state this past season as well.

I am a member of Natural Helpers, National Honors Society, and Student Council. (4 years- President this year)
I am a member of the Mayor's Youth Council, a community action agency.
I have volunteered weekly for 4 years now in a program that helps disabled children play sports.
There are other community activities I've participated in and awards I've received, not as notable though. (ex. won ribbons at county fair, excellence achievement in select classes, etc.)

I have received straight A's (2 A-) and have been on the highest honor roll my past two years. My GPA is not higher because my freshmen year grades were pretty horrendous (3.1 UW GPA). I am taking the most rigorous schedule my high school has to offer (minus 2 extra AP classes), and by the time I graduate will have taken 9 AP classes. I have never taken anything lower than an honors class.

AP Classes so far: AP US History (5), AP Microeconomics (5), AP Macroeconomics (5)
AP Classes next year: Language and Composition, Physics, Chemistry, Calculus, Psychology, Government

This past summer I took 2 college chemistry classes at Northwestern University. I was the only non-Northwestern student in the class. I received an A in both classes. This will go on my transcript because they are credit as well.

Other than my counselor and teacher, I will have letters of recommendation from the mayor of my city (150k population) as well as one of the most renown chemistry professors in the country.

My essays are good, but not amazing. I am a fairly strong writer, but for some reason I found it hard to find a hook with my life.

These are the schools that I plan on applying to:
Michigan (already applied early action)
Marquette
Illinois (legacy and in-state)
Kentucky (honors program)
Notre Dame
Northwestern (letter from head of Chemistry department, legacy, and already taken classes)
Duke
Vanderbilt

Duke and Vanderbilt are complete and utter longshot dreams... hoping maybe they accept me.. by accident.
Notre Dame is my dream school.

Chances?

Since this was very long and painful to read, I will definitely chance back everyone.

Thank you!!
