I completed my FAFSA and CSS Monday. I just found out that there are more documents some colleges want, like USC. Will they email me about them, or am I supposed to dig their websites to find out what they are? (I went on my USC account and saw the additional documents, but I didn’t get an email from them)
Assume it is your responsibility to read your accounts, emails, and contact the school to see if everything is complete. Some schools will send you an email, but many will not.
My daughter almost lost a scholarship that she didn’t even know she’d been awarded because she needed to both accept it and send a letter of thanks to the sponsor. It was just sitting in her FA file and she never knew it was there.
