Will declining an acceptance (or being rejected) ruin my chances for next year?

So I'm currently a freshman in college and I was thinking about applying to a few other schools for next year because I changed my mind about what I want to pursue. However, if I do apply and get accepted to these schools but then turn them down, will they look at my application unfavorably if I decide to apply again for junior year? What if I'm rejected and I apply again the next year? Is that worse?

You might just want to plan for one transfer at a time…

Well I’m trying to decide if I should try to transfer for next year, or if I should wait for junior year. I want to know if I can apply and give myself the option or if it will ruin my chances junior year.
