Will decreased SAT scores ruin college admission chances?

I've taken the SAT three times. The first time I took it, I got a 1640. Second time, 1800. Third time, 1790. I can't believe I dropped 10 points! The bad thing is, the college I'm applying to wants to see ALL the scores, so I can't just choose the best one and submit it. Will this lower my chances of getting accepted into college?

Most look at your best scores from each section, so calm down. And scores can change.

No, this won’t be a problem at ALL.

What colleges are you applying to?

Most colleges don’t care what your various sitting scores are…they just take the highest…no matter when it was from.

The schools ask for ALL of your scores so you don’t make a mistake and forget to send a set if you use Score Choice. They will only take your best scores and disregard the rest.

You basically did the same the 2nd and 3rd times, which is common. Most people have the greatest gain between the first and second time, and then little or no gain after that.

Besides, the reason why they take the best score is because some people are feeling sick or dealing with other issues on one of the test days.
