Hi! I was wondering if Emory would accept two students from the same Florida public high school? If so, can anyone testify to having this happened at their school? I'm a little worried.. my friend and I both applied RD and emory scholars. What are the odds of both of us getting an acceptance if academically we are pretty equal?

Thanks!!

My son and a friend were both accepted to Emory for admission in the fall of 2009 from a public high school in south Florida. My son applied ED and the friend applied RD. I believe there was actually another student who graduated in 2009 from our school who was also accepted.

We’d think about it.

Just kidding! Students are considered within the context of their school, but there’s no quota system.

Thank u both for the input!

I know plenty of people who went to the same high school. (not like 5 people from the same high school. but I know like 2 people from the same high school)

edit: I don’t think I explained well. I meant like 2 from HS A, 2 from HS B, and 2 from HS C. So, yes, two people for sure. 3+, Idk of any, but maybe.

Thank you aluminumboat! At least now I know there is hope haha

Yes, my friend’s high school has more than 13 kids at emory right now, all from the same class. My high school had 4 accepted!
