Hi All,

We will have our decision tomorrow. Dose anybody know Lehigh's financial Aid package will go with admission letter or show on line together?

Thanks

Yes, I confirmed this with admissions today…can not wait! Good luck everyone!

Yes, I got mine yesterday.

Is it next to impossible to receive a scholarship? S was accepted into Engineering, decent stats - 2140 SAT, top 5%, GPA 4.44. Anyone receive a scholarship? Is an appeal feasible?

Merit scholarships are given only to a small percentage of admits, usually the top of the applicant pool. You cannot appeal merit scholarships since they are designed to convince the best candidates (in Lehigh’s eyes) to attend Lehigh over a peer or higher ranked institution.

Need-based financial aid can usually be appealed at all universities, especially if a family’s financial situation has changed and/or the admitted student has a higher award at a peer institution.

eileen3rd, Your son has fantastic stats! It really depends upon who else applies and the engineernng applicant pool tends to be very strong.

For comparison sake, my son received the Dean’s Scholarship last year. His stats were 2270 SATs, 4.3 GPA, extremely competitive private high school, national merit commended, AP scholar with distinction, lots of community service and volunteerism, NHS, French NHS etc…

I know it is disappointing, perhaps you will qualify for financial aid! Good luck!

We are quite happy with his FA offer from Lehigh. Right now his choice is between Lehigh, Univ. Buffalo, and Alfred U. We will hear from Cornell on Wednesday. Pending Cornell, Lehigh is winning at the moment.

Rose Hulman and RPI are completely unaffordable, and are out of the running.
