Will getting a few Bs for the FIRST TIME in Senior Year actually hurt my admissions much?

Do colleges such as USC and Columbia go down hard on students that appeared ‘to work less hard’ than before?

I’ve always gotten As and in the first quarter of my classes, also got As. Then I submitted my application. However, in the second quarter I got 1 to 2 Bs :o . Midyear reports are a thing, right? Will this hurt me much?

I guess I should also mention that the Bs were in AP classes, but like I said before I aced them in the first quarter.

I don’t think it should hurt too much. There’s a chance that the schools you applied to don’t even look at the midyear report until after a decision is made. However, without knowing the rest of your grades, course rigor, high school, etc. it’s hard to judge how this will truly affect your admissions decision.

Sophomore and junior year grades are the most important. A few B’s should hurt your chances too much.
