Hey guys. I currently attend a satellite campus of PSU. I just finished my first semester as a freshman.
I applied to WVU prior to ending my first semester. I have a 2.5 GPA (which is really low for me, but I hated my classes this semester) and I graduated with a 3.4 in high school. I had to send my high school transcripts because I have only finished 17 credits so far.
SAT is 1370.

I'm looking to transfer for the fall of 2014. I know WVU has a pretty high acceptance rate for transfers. I'm just worried about my low GPA for my first semester.

Is 1370 M+CR or all together? Your gpa is pretty bad, but your acceptance really lies on what program you are entering at wvu. wvu has a good engineering school (which is selective), but a real good acceptance for everything else. General school I say yes. engineering probably not.

also specify your SAT score because 1370 M+CR is real impressive where as 1370 all three is below average

Intended major is animal/nutritional sciences. My SAT combined is 1370 which I know is below average but I know a lot of kids accepted there with much lower scores than me.

I think you have a 60% shot at getting in because of the non-selective program you’re entering, but try and bring the gpa up to a 3.2 for the end of the year to be sure
