Will I be at a disadvantage for Ross?

Hi, I'm at a community college right now and applied for fall semester at U of M for next year. I used to go to school for music but changed my major to accounting and have been doing really well. I plan on going to LSA for a year and then applying to Ross afterwards for "regular admission" but is that considered regular admission if I already have more credits than can transfer to LSA? Do they do interviews or do they just look at your stats?

Also, I took classes during the summer/spring and fall semesters but I'm only taking one class this semester to await for my response from U of M. Will Ross look down on that? should I take a normal course load over the summer to make up for it?

I forgot to mention… I’m only taking one class because I’m trying to get a full time job right now to support my son and am planning on making my lawn care “business” legit over the summer

They say they look at academic rigor, but I have a decent amount of friends who took joke classes freshman year and got in. As long as you demonstrate capable studying skills once you’re at Michigan, aka get a good gpa, you’ll most likely be fine.

You should know that Ross is a mandatory 3-year program no matter when you get in (“the BBA curriculum is a sequenced, three-year program and cannot be accelerated”).
