So basically I am a freshman and will be getting involved with research this semester. I was told it is AT LEAST 6 hours a week. I haven’t been given my hours yet but I worried it will be too much for me. I’m currently taking Chemistry, Biology, and Calculus II. I also have Chem and Bio labs. I have lab quizzes weekly and a Chem quiz weekly. I would also ideally like to be involved with 2 or 3 clubs (I am already in one). I’m not sure if I can handle this!! I got straight A’s last semester but I didn’t have a job or any responsibilities. Also, my Chem class this semester will have some Organic thrown in so it won’t be as easy as the last one :l
Also I have a weekly class for my major! Though I don’t think it will be too much of an issue
Think of it like a part time job. 6-10 hours/week isn’t a lot of hours for that. Many people handle work studies with their studies (including premed students with similar schedules to yours). It’s definitely doable with any moderate time management skills. Also, you’re only taking 3 classes? That seems like it’s only 12 credit hours. You’ll be fine.
It’s 14 credits but yeah, I’m just not used to working and studying haha
