Will I be prepared for the MCAT?

I'm currently a second year at UCSD (Bioinformatics major) and I'm wondering if I need to put in some extra effort for MCAT preparation.

I had AP Biology credit get me out of the necessary lower division classes for biology. Therefore, I plan on making up with my major. I also got out of a chemistry course, but again my major will make up for that as well (p-chem and ochem courses and labs).

Should I be taking other classes like anatomy/physiology, microbio, and other topics? I want to make sure I'm well prepared for the test before I start preparation.

Thanks

You do not need to finish all Med. school requirements before start preparing. Actually, it has helped my D. taking physics while preparing for MCAT, it kept physics fresh. She said that genetics and physiology were helpful. Bio is about 75% of BS section and Orgo is about 25%.
