I go into UCSD and stands a good chance of getting into UCLA with TAP but I am not sure if my projected spring grades should be of any concern? I am terribly busy this semester and after the first round of midterms, my grade are as follows:

A
A
A (1 unit class)
B
B
C
C

So basically thats slightly above a 3.0 but just barely (like a 3.05)

If I maintain this grade trend, should I not accept admission to LA or SD and accept an offer from another UC to stand a better chance of admission?

it depends on your transfer admission contract. Everyone’s is a little different. My UCD contract states that I only need to get at least a C in my English class and says nothing about the grades for my other classes (although I’m sure I should at least pass the others)…While my UCI contract says I just need to maintain above a 2.8 with the remainder of my spring classes…Just look into it on your admission website, it’s pretty easy to find. I think you should be ok.

^ you could be right. I was only judging on the contracts I’ve received from the other UC’s…I guess wait until you get accepted(if you do) or try giving them a call (although I dont recommend this, usually students pick up who know next to nothing and are hardly helpful at all). I wasn’t aware that the minimum gpa was 3.2…is there a minimum? and is that overall or is that just for spring? I read on a thread somewhere that some guy got in last year with a 2.8 gpa…Well, now I’m just confused haha.

There’s a thread from last year’s provisional contract details. It looks like the contracts are based purely on what major you are admitted into. Higher impacted majors require a higher GPA to be acheived.

Everyone is under a different contract bro. Email them and tell them your projected grades and they’ll actually tell you if it’s okay or not. My contract didn’t have anything about GPA in it, but I thought I was going to get a C, so I emailed them about it. They said it would be okay, but I ended up with a B in the end anyways.

I think the more borderline you are the more provisions they place on you. Oh and this is about UCLA. Besides UCLA/Cal I think C’s are fine.
