UCLA rescind my admission?

Help me out plz! I know people ask this millions times b4 ,but I just got my final grade for this semester (1A,2B(one of them is just one unit lab section),2C(not the major pre-req)), which i get 2.73 something for this semester. My contract is like the most generic contract(Maintain your academic performance, blah blah..).My overall GPA still is above 3.0 (barely:3.1, since I don't have the great GPA to get in). How likely I will get rescinded? Should I report to LA now or wait until my prof response.

I am so regret not to take SD offer; I wouldn't worry abt the requirement at all. Do you guys think if there is a chance to get in even if I miss the SIR deadline.

And my major is MCDB(non-impact major) for LA.

Okay, well first of all I can barely read your post. If I’m understanding you correctly, you REALLY need to contact a UCLA counselor ASAP. Don’t go to a CC adviser. Don’t go to an online forum. Go to UCLA and ask if this is cause for rescindence, or whether you can work something out.

As for UCSD, my understanding is that all the UCs require a 3.0, but perhaps not. . . . Honestly, if you already submitted a UCLA SIR, I don’t think you have a great chance, but again CONTACT THE SCHOOL. There are exceptions to every rule, and I think if you’re very, VERY quick and exceptionally persuasive you can accept a school’s offer of admission after the deadline.

i would say theres a %15 chance of getting your admission rescinded. only bec. you are so close to a 3.0.

Sorry about that. I type it really rush and I will contact the school ASAP, probably by email. Thanks for the advise.

^don’t email. call them.

Good lord stop scaring the OP, you guys are crazy, theres no way hes getting rescinded, his cumulative hasnt dropped below 3, and hasnt gotten more than 3 Cs, when the refer to big academic drop they mean 3 Cs, or Ds, Fs, or your CUMULATIVE gpa going below 3.0. Your in the clear OP.

Would your GPA be 3.0 or higher after you have added in the 2.7 spring semester GPA? If so, you are fine.

the overall GPA is Still higher than 3.0 after this semester.

You should definitely call them. When i asked the same question they said as long as your overall GPA is over 3.0 and the bad grade(s) in your spring semester are not relevant to your major you should be fine. Since your “C” grade isn’t a major-prereq. you should not stress out. Goodluck. See you at UCLA, Bruin. :)

Well, they are not in major pre-req list. To be more clear, I get C for my Eng and Cal III(they only need up to Cal II); I am not sure how serious they treat Eng. Anyway, back to pt, I found couple tel.# in their admission website, but I am not sure which one I should try. Guys, which # u guys usually use?

Ok, just a little bit update. I just got the email back I sent on Friday; very disappointing. It literally says nothing.
Here is the UCLA response:
Hello,

If you feel that these grades does not meet your provision, then fill out the PPF.

Otherwise, please have an official transcript sent to us as soon as possible. Our evaluators will look at your transcript and determine if you have met the provisions on your contract.

Sincerely,

UCLA Undergraduate Admissions & Relations with Schools

Can you please learn some english? You are going to fail out of UCLA if you continue writing so poorly.

You miss the part where he got a C in engrish? :D

Yeah I call BS on the C… you need at least basic competency to get a C… his sentences had so many tense issues. Ugh, this is what makes so many people dislike the asians at UCLA. I’m not a fan of it, but they bring it on themselves.

You should probably try to get in personal contact with a counselor, they can go over with you if the Admissions Committee has to/will go over your record again, assuming you have problems.

This happened (is happening) to me, where I had an item on my record that seemed to interfere with my admission contract (Not left previous UC in good standing), and I had to go through a lengthy process with an individual counselor who was liaison with the Admissions committee. Its still going on, but its a lot safer then just sending your transcript later and crossing your fingers. Let us know how it turns out for you ;)
