During the last 6 weeks of school, I had to be hospitalized for some heart problems. I missed a lot of school work and tests… and it was awful because I missed a lot of AP tests and AP finals that took place the week before AP testing. My cumulative GPA was 3.7 but went down to a cumulative GPA of 3.4 (I got a 2.8 UW this semester, 3.2 W).
Will I be rescinded?
I see that no one has responded to this. Your final grades should have been sent to BU a while ago. If you haven’t heard from them, then I would say that you are in the clear. Colleges don’t like to rescind and will only do so if there are MAJOR concerns. To me, this does not look like a major concern. If BU does in fact call out to you, they would ask for an explanation first before making any decisions. Usually they would put a student on academic probation, but seeing that you have a very good reason as to why your GPA has dropped then I really wouldn’t dwell on this issue and I’d just look forward to this upcoming fall! Hopefully I’ll see you around campus. Take care and hope that you’re okay now
skidreamer since some schools on the east coast still are not done even as of today I don’t think it is safe to say that final grades should have been sent a while ago…
abso- I wouldn’t worry about it. If it becomes an issue you should be able to explain your situation.
@aanderson67 okay sorry. I’m an international student in Switzerland and every single school that I know has finished including a bunch of friends in the US. I haven’t heard of students still in school up until I read your comment.
