Will I be there next year(Right now, I am kinda losing hope)(Chances)?

bump…Do I have a chance at any of the other schools.

NYU(Stern) - <5%
Yale(Economics) <5%
Columbia(economics) <5%
Brown(economics) <5%
Duke(economics) <5%
UT at Austin(Mccombs) <10%
USC (Marshall) <10%
Carnegie Mellon (Tepper) <5%
Villanova(business) probably around 25%-35%

These are all guestimates

I would say try applying to large state schools that love intl’s because they can say, “students from ____ come here to study!”. If you like it there, stay. If you don’t, do well and you will have a better chance transferring. Look at schools like Ohio State, Indiana State, Oklahoma State, any SUNY’s (but these are smaller), CUNY’s, or UC’s. Good luck!

I spend time everyday analyzing Indian and American Equities( I also write daily reports(trading strategies)for my mom’s investment company based on short term price targets. I form a core part of that investment company. As I have stated before, my only major interest has been in the stock markets(specifically equity, I have been involved in something or another in that area since my 6th grade). I have stated in all my essays that this is my major passion and how my interest grew after a visit to the Bombay Stock Exchange. I feel my achievements in this area are above the normal ones(normal ones = online stock trading competition). I have worked on real stuff. I saw that Financial markets are there on almost all of these places under the Finance major. I understand that there are other weak areas in my profile. I do not have many EC’s as most of my time is spent in this area, seriously(i mean it). Can this change anything. Will it show the adcoms something different because I am confident my achievements i this field are unique when compared to others in my country, if not in other countries. Will my estimated chances improve from <5%.
I do not know much about how you guys there. So, local opinion could be of great help. I know I am international, but have heard that a passion for something can be a major plus.

In Cornell, at least in 6/7 colleges (CAS is arguable), passion is huge! Still, it will be hard for you to get in. Listing those things def. improves your chances. But don’t get your heart set on an ivy or any ivy-caliber. Of course you should apply, because you have a 0% chance if you don’t apply. It’s just really hard for int’s. Since you don’t need FA that should help a little. It will also depend how many kids apply from your region

gantorture, is that oswego IL

nah Oswego, NY
