So this is probably how my junior and senior classes will look:

11th*
Pre-calculus honors
Physics honors
Ap biology*
Ap us history
Ap english language and composition
Ap chemistry (or probs and stats honors)*

12th*
Anatomy honors
Ap American government / macro economics
Ap physics B
Ap english literature and composition
Ap art history
Ap environmental science*
Calculus honors

*either could be replaced with ap stats.

Is it rigorous enough for a top school? I chose a hard shedule for senior year because of the midyear report and stuff!

No, you’re taking them in different years. Taking 4 or 5 APs a year is manageable.

Do what makes you happy.

Your schedule’s fine this way. You’ll be fine.

Nope. That’s a good, competitive schedule.

Woah~ I’m probably the only one on this site who thinks that that schedule is insane! But hey, we’re on CC… So wonderful schedule… If you can handle all that, good luck.

i don’t think anyone DIED literally about taking too much AP

just saying ;)

Haha im sure i won’t die literary but like yeah ahahaha

Anyone ever taken any of these classes? If so, please tell me how it went! Anything helps!!

I personally would not be able to manage this schedule (mostly because I wouldn’t be able to deal with AP bio, AP chem, and APUSH all in one year), but that’s just because of my abilities and the teachers at my school. But I’ll try to give you some more info about the AP classes I’ve taken (I’m not going to try the other ones, since they vary greatly between schools. AP is a bit more standardized.)
I loved AP Bio, but it was a lot of memorization (very tolerable for me though because I like biology). I got a 5. I think they might have a new curriculum guide for this coming year though. Can anyone confirm this?
I hated APUSH. Way too much memorization and way too much work. I got a 5 though. However, I have heard many other people here on CC say that their class was not a lot of work at all. I think this one really depends on your teacher.
AP English Language was fairly easy, and almost no memorization. I got a 5.
AP Chem is fairly decent, except for all of the solubility rules you have to memorize, and acid/base titrations, which I find very difficult. But my teacher was great, so I got a 5.
AP English Literature was okay. I found a little boring at times, but it wasn’t too hard. I got a 4.
I LOVED AP Stats! I don’t really like math, but I loved stats, because it’s only about 60% math, it’s easy, and it’s sooo useful. There’s some writing parts, mostly designing experiments, interpreting graphs and stuff, and determining sources of bias/error. And I got a 5, which makes me love it more.

It is up to you, if you do a lot of EC’s it might be a bit tough with the homework. Personally I am doing two in 11th grade and three in 12th. Take as many as you feel OK with.

At first I thought you meant in one year and I was like “no one can be that masochistic…”

But yeah, I think you’ll be fine.

Personally, I would die (especially with your junior yr. schedule), but it depends greatly on how the classes are taught at your specific school.

Thanks for the advice!

I think a lot of these depend on the teacher. My AP Art History, World History, European History and US Politics teachers were total pushovers. I did great in the classes (spent most of the time doing work for other classes), and they were total GPA boosters, but didn’t do so well on the AP exams (3s and 4s). GPA matters more, in my opinion. I took Bio and APUSH in one year with tough teachers and handled them both fine. APES and English were easy. I never took Physics but all my friends complained about it all year. It’s a killer. I never took Chem either and I’ve heard mixed things about that one. You’re not taking AP Calc though, which is also a killer. Yeah, Calc and Physics are the only ones that seem universally tough.

I think you’ll be fine! The only thing that seems difficult is taking physics, bio, and chem all in one year. Maybe you could switch bio and art history?
