Will I get accepted RD - Steinhardt Applied Psychology?

Hi all! I’m a senior and NYU is my top choice, I’m applying to Steinhart and would like to major in applied psych (and minor in child/adol mental health studies at CAS). I’m applying RD because I would like to see if any other colleges offer me grants!

Here are my stats:
GPA: (my school only provides weighted) 3.9
Class rank: 24/317
SAT: 1340 (trying to raise it by at least 50 points, retaking in October)
-Math: 670
-Reading/Writing: 670
Including this year, I’ve taken 7 AP courses and 10 honors. I got really sick last year and missed multiple months of school, so I was unable to take any AP Exams. I’m hoping to take some this year though.
ECs; NHS, French Honors Society, volunteer work, job (not many ECs unfortunately)

What are my chances of getting in RD based on these? Would I have a better chance if I applied ED?

Hi all, I got my October SAT scores back and I got a 1410 (700 math, 710 r/w).
I know NYU is known for its lack of financial aid which is why I’m not applying ED (even though it’s my top choice). What are my chances of getting in?

If you know this is the college you want, apply ED. Your chances will be significantly better. Colleges can’t resist loving the students that love the college.
