Pyar to respond to your question about the SAT essay, I remember someone asked that at a Penn info session I went to, and the regional rep basically said that they can see the SAT essay, but they don't. It's an option for colleges but not one that Penn is choosing to use at least this year anyway. So for us ED-ers thats all that matters as far as schools seeing the SAT essays. (yay?!)

(not yay :() my essay would just support the whole picture my application makes of me

aww I'm sorry it's not a yay. For me it would depend on which SAT essay they looked at because one was significantly better than the other.

It's okay though.

You'll get in anyway :-D

thanks :) :D

2 years ago i sat in front of the computer and put out a very similar post to yours. In my case, i knew what my chances were, yet i stlil posted. You and I both know, scores less than 700 on any section of the SATs will kill you in admissions. And high score in MATH sections will not help you.

I think your rank is very good, make sure you read your counselor's rec. no matter what. My counselor neglected to put my rank and that may have contributed to my rejections.

On your list i do not see any awards. I think you should have at least some school awards.
In my case, i had distinction from contests in my "state" and country. And even then i was rejected flat out, not even deferred.

You still have some chance since you are applying ED, however, IMO, i think overall the chances are very much against you. I wish you best of luck :D

ya dude. sorry. And especially because this is wharton.

Play Golf In College

not much, yea UPenn.

thanks for bumping my topic not pming me.

they should read the essay. I want them to see what someone can write in 30 minutes over what can be polished over in days and probably perfected by Katherine Cohen.
