will i get into a good college?

my worst nightmare is that i wont get into my dream college. i messed up in high school for a while and now i see the consequences of my actions. so in your opinion do you think i have a chance?
My stats:
unweighted GPA: 3.1 (im trying to get it up to a 3.3 by january) Weighted: 3.9
SAT: 1520 without studying. (but i retook it again last week and im trying to reach a 1700 with studying)
i have taken a total of 15 honors classes and 1 AP.

CLUBS/ORGANIZATION:
Best buddies (treasurer)
softball
science national honor scoiety
social studies honor scociety
NASA academy
Chorus
130 community services hours
and im writing my essay on how a won a scholarship to attend a language and cooking porgram in france for 5 weeks.
So will i get in to Penn state with these stats?
Other colleges:
WSU, OST, UF, USF, FAU, BU, JWU, FSU

Penn State is a reach. The people I know who have been accepted had a 3.8+, realistically you need a 3.5 to have a decent shot and your scores are also low. So like I said before it is a reach, your stats are below average for them and you don’t have an excuse for the low stats. Sorry, I can’t speak to the rest of the schools.

Do you live in PA? That could make a difference in terms of getting into Penn State or not. Also, what makes Penn State your dream school? What do you want to study? There are likely good “safety” alternatives to PSU. But get those grades and scores up, and you may have a shot. :)

I think if you could bump your GPA up to around 3.3 and your SAT to around 1750~1850, you’d have a great chance at PSU, even the main campus at University Park. This is coming from personal experience with my cousin. She was in the same position as you, scared, frightened even, at the prospect of not even getting into college. All things work out in the end the way it should be. Believe in yourself and keep working hard! Best of luck~

You plan on getting a 4.5 in the first half of your senior year?

no. i never said that. i dont think its possible.

i live in florida… its my dream school because when i went to france, the culinary school i was in was tied to penn state. i want to go to that french school so the only way ill ever have a chance since its so prestigious,is if i go to penn state. (penn state has a hospitality program)

I got into Penn state with those stats btw. Just saying.

Just wondering, when you say “those stats” are you talking about the 1520 without studying and the 3.1 GPA, or the 1700 you were aiming for with a 3.3 GPA?

Being out of state will hurt you. You best bet would be to apply for the main campus as your first choice and another campus as a second choice (you would be able to get into another campus) and then transfer to the main campus after two years.

@ArtsyGirl13, she already said that she was admitted

Congratulations!
