Will I get into MSU (winter 14)

I am applying as a transfer student somewhat soon ..(winter 14)

What are my chances?

I am applying to MSU from a local community college in Michigan; around Oakland County.

I currently have 40 credits. And am taking four more classes over this upcoming winter semester

My current transcript:

Fall 12: 15 credits; 3.5 GPA
Spring 12: 18 credits 3.2 GPA

My Cumulative GPA was around a 3.3 that term

Over the summer I took a elementary level algebra class thinking I would rock an A but had trouble showing up and barley opened any books.

I got a D. And my GPA went down to a 2.9 and I had a total of about 36 credits.

I am now completing a intermediate math course and after my last exam tomorrow it is likely I aced the class because I have aced every exam up to his point.

Regardless...

I will have have a 2.93 GPA going into my final semester and I would like to get into MSU

If I ace what looks to be the last of my General education (4 classes 10+ credits) and apply with around a 3.2-3.3. Do I have a good chance of getting in ? Or Will my D+ over the summer get me rejected ?

Sorry, the statistics are not easy to find on this. It seems like the minimum is a 3.0 and thus you’ll receive “consideration,” but I don’t think it’s something to count on. Maybe 60% chance of getting accepted? Best of luck!
