I'm determined...

I just finished freshman year with an UW GPA of 3.5 and W GPA of 3.7.

I'm taking summer school Chemistry now, and I have a B- :(

For the next three years I will get straight A's and have lots of Honors/AP classes, as well as awesome EC's.

Judging from my previous scores/stats, I'm predicting to score at LEAST a 30 on my ACT.

What do you guys think??

it has many things you can do before you apply.
you are just freshman now so I also have no idea now.

“For the next three years I will get straight A’s and have lots of Honors/AP classes, as well as awesome EC’s.”

It’s not very logical or reasonable for you to state this going into your sophomore year. You have no idea what’s going to happen in the future. You don’t know what kind of teachers you’ll get , and there’s countless other outside factors. You just need to do your best in highschool. NYU isn’t about straight A’s. Clearly more students with around 3.5-3.7s are currently at NYU. That doesn’t mean you can slack off. But still don’t put unessacary pressure on yourself!

from CollegeBoard:
33% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
39% had h.s. GPA between 3.5 and 3.74
16% had h.s. GPA between 3.25 and 3.49
11% had h.s. GPA between 3.0 and 3.24

Anywhere from a 28+ on your ACT will keep you in the running.
Talk to us in a few years when you can map out all of your accomplishments and your awesome ECs.

It’s fantastic that you already have a goal and a dream school in mind. You’re definitely on the right track!
