Hello everyone, I am a highschool junior who is interested in applying to NYU next year. My gpa is a ~3.5 on a 4.0 scale with a 1550/1600 on the new sat (750 EBRW and an 800 on math). I go to a highly competitor highschool that deflates gpa, explaining the large difference between my gpa and test scores. Provided I have decent ECs, will I be a shoe in for NYU?
Your HS, if it is highly competitive, such as Thomas Jefferson, is known by the admission officer. So don’t worry about the gpa, you should be able to get in to NYU. Whether you will get into Tish or Stern that is another issue.
