Would i “match” at NYU, and get in regular decision? Early decision?
I have heard conflicting reports as to NYU’s selectiveness.

Thanks so much to anyone who answers, or gives me any advice. I really appreciate you

I was recenty admitted into CAS, my SAT was the same as yours, but I believe there is no secret formula into getting in. For example, I took 12 AP classes in total, I wrote an incredible essay that was the best I’ve ever written, my gpa is a 3.9 out of 4.0 and my hpa or weighted gpa is 4.8. But, while all that sounds great, my SAT was below average for NYU as I scored a 1270 and my extracurriculars were weak but NYU probably overlooked it because I had a job, however, while I was accepted into CAS, maybe I would’ve been rejected from stern. Or maybe if I applied RD I would’ve been rejected because of tougher competition. Maybe doing ED gave me an advantage, or maybe the fact that I’m an URM gave me a better chance as well. The point is that no one can chance you because even we don’t know. I think you’re a strong candidate but I can’t tell you if I think you’ll get in or not because I’m not an admissions counselor and I don’t know who you’re up against. Good luck though, I hope you get in!
