I am a freshman at John Carroll, trying to transfer to Ohio State this winter. I came to college with college credits from pseo. I have 14 credit hours of college credit with a 2.25 GPA. I had a 2.95 High School GPA. I have a ACT score of 21 and I am very involved. I applied to OSU last year as a freshman and got denied, but I have heard that transferring is a lot easier. 85% of applicants that apply are granted admission. Can you please give me any advice or information that you know about transferring to Ohio State. Whats the average GPA, how hard is it to get in, do think I will get accepted, etc. Any information helps! Thanks!

I think OSU, like most of Ohio’s publics, requires at least a 2.0 GPA for transfers. If you managed to earn at least a 2.0 GPA at another college, then the schools seem to feel that you’ve shown you can handle college level classes without failing. IMO you’ll be accepted at OSU. However, you might not be able to get into any of the more competitive majors like business or engineering.

Thanks, I have heard that too! I applied and Im just waiting on the outcome, hope the 2.0 myth is true!
