will i get into these colleges? if not, what colleges should I apply?

so, i’m a confused child who realized in her junior year that grades get averaged into a cumulative one (i moved to usa for the first time in my freshman year)
anyway! my average is a 3.7/ 92.31 to be exact. i took ap classes but didn’t pass any (i know its horrible) but i hope to get a 4 on ap chem, lit and calc ab.
my sat score will most likely be a 1300 over and i will take my act soon.
the colleges im applying are (on common app) are: hofstra, stony brook, nyu, binghamton, columbia, barnard and colgate.
(cuny): hunter, baruch, city college (sophie davis) i am most likely applying for macalay honors (but if possible please give advice on that as well)

thankyou! i know youre probably sighing on this post but please help me out if you can.
(note: im verrry involved in school, i have lots of ecas, im in the national honors society and the senior president in my school)

Columbia may be a reach, but all others may be match and safties.

After you get your SAT and/or ACT scores you can look at accepted student data regarding them, class rank, course load and essay requirements. Until then you will remain understandably unprepared to move on. I am surprised your guidance counselor hasn’t prepared you for this conversation.

Btw, the “Columbia reach and others match” etc suggestion is merely hyperbole. Better to stick with the plan above.

Good luck with your college search!

With 1300 SAT, 3.7 GPA and not-so-great APs, Columbia will be a reach. Go for the others though. Good luck!
