<p>So i have about a 3.66 GPA as of now, however it may drop to a 3.64 after this semester and im applying in about a week to UC's. I am applying as a history major with so far a 4.0 in all major classes. I am NOT in Tap..wish i was... however I am apart of council for multiple clubs and volunteering at a local hospital. I've been reading online and have seen people with w 3.5 get in without TAP as well and with no extra curricular activities. Just hope i get it. Will I?</p>

<p>It really depends. A lot of people with lower GPA’s are usually athletes, getting in on scholarships. The average unweighted GPA for last years incoming class was 3.8-3.9ish (this is coming straight from UCLA admissions) But don’t let that discourage you. You can make up for that with extracurriculars if they show that you are hardworking and dedicated. Also, the personal statement is important. Work really hard on that. It can be the make or break of you getting in. Good luck!</p>

<p>I wouldn’t be as arrogant as Cbaker23 if I were you. Pre-history is impacted at UCLA and the admission statistics show that last year they admit a group with an average GPA of 3.72 which is above your current GPA. You’re not “guaranteed” to get in any means. However, that being said, you’re close enough to the average admitted GPA last year that I think if you have a decent application otherwise you should be accepted. Write a strong personal statement and have a few decent EC’s and you should feel pretty decent about your chances.</p>
