<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I'm an international student from Turkey and I completed the first three years of high school in Turkey. I'm here in Miami now, and I'm a senior. I'm going to apply to Umiami this year but my GPA creates some problems for me. I have 3.7 unweighted and 3.9 weighted gpa. I'm currently 67% in my current high school. Back in my old high school I was in the top ten. People say that GPAs are inflated here but how would the college know? I have a 550 reading and 550 writing and 680 math score on the sat but i took it again and i think the results are going to be better. I'm also taking the act which i think is more suitable for me.</p>

<p>since your reading/writing scores are lower, you should consider taking the TOEFL that’s just an option, and you’re obviously eligible, given that you are an international applicant… other than that your gpa seems reasonable, try to raise it up this year</p>

<p>I took the IELTS and got 8 over 9 which is like 110 from TOEFL. I need financial aid. </p>

<p>no question you should send the ielts and not the sat… even though the financial aid part may hurt you, your scores give you a good chance for umiami</p>
