Will I get into UPenn Jerome Fisher M&T Program?

I am very interested in the Jerome Fisher M&T Program offered at the University of Pennsylvania. However, I am aware that the program is highly selective. So, here are my stats... Do you think I'll get in?

Female, Junior, Private High School

Grades:
I have straight A's, and my school is one of the top 50 'feeder' schools in the country. My school doesn't rank students, so I don't know where I fall compared to the rest of my class, though I'm pretty sure I'm in at least the top 10-15 in a class of 90.

GPA:
About 4.16/4.00 (Honors/AP Courses count for more)

Standardized Testing:
SAT: Math 780, Critical Reading 750, Writing 760 (2290)
ACT: 33 Composite (I plan to take it again)
SAT II: Math I 730 (I don't plan on submitting this score); I will take US History, Chemistry, and Math II at the end of this school year.

AP's:
By the end of senior year, I will have taken AP World History, AP English Language, AP Chemistry, AP US History, AP English Literature, AP Physics, AP Spanish, and AP Calculus BC
AP World History Grade: 5

Extracurriculars:
- Varsity tennis since freshman year; I play several hours a week
- Violin
- Volunteering
- Researched at a local univeristy since freshman year; I have been a co-author on one abstract, and in my senior year I plan to compete in Siemens, Intel, etc. I work in this lab full-time during the summer, and I am not paid.

I love math, science, and economics, and I think that this program is perfect for me. Am I a qualified candidate for M&T?

Yeah you are definately a qualified candidate. This program is really selective so who knows, but you have as good a chance as anyone. Also being female helps slightly i believe. Good luck to you.

Qualified, yes. Lots of kids with your stats get in and and lots don’t. What state you’re from will be important (NY/NJ/PA harder, ND, SD, NM easier). If you’re Asian the pool is very competitive, if you’re a URM, welcome to Penn.

The other big factor will be how many others from your feeder school are applying and how you stack up against them. If several are legacies or recruited athletes as is often the case at feeder schools, that makes it much harder.

So write great apps, get great recs and try to win Siemens.
