Hi, I just finished up my sophomore year in high school and am wondering what my chances are at getting into West Point. I have a 3.99 unweighted GPA with all honors classes as well as 2 AP's this year, AP Calc and AP US History. I am ranked 3/622 in my class. I am a three sport varsity athlete, cross country, basketball, and track. I will be captain of 2 if not all 3 of these sports. As a sophomore I was all-conference honorable menion in track and CC and was one of two sophomores that played up for my basketball team. For leadership... I was elected to the executive board for student council as well as NHS.. with my three sports I think I am only going to take on one of these positions. Do you think I need both to get in or would just taking one be wise? I also lettered in FCA which is probably my favorite extra curricular activity. For community service I teach sunday school at my church as well as vacation bible school. This summer I am volunteering at a hospital. Through NHS I will have many hours of community service as well. A couple other notes would be that I am a white male that goes to a large public school in the midwest. I am a member of my school's top band and have been playing trumpet for 5 years now. I also will be taking spanish all the way through high school. Please give me some advice on the two leadership positions in NHS and Student Council and anything else I could do to better my chances, thanks!

You have a great chance at West Point if you get 1900+ on your SAT

Thank you! I’ll make sure to study a lot and retake if I need to

Anyone else?
