ive had a really hard time the past few semesters because ive been sick. went to the doctor and ive been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. its really caused me alot of problems with school. im in pain every second of my life and i cant sleep at night. ive missed alot of class and homework my grades have suffered. i cant think at all and im not 100%.

anyway i started with 6 classes this sem but i dropped 3 of them. now i have 3 left that im afraid im gonna fail. last semester i passed my 2 classes.
if i fail them what will happen with my financial aid? im on student loan but would i still be able to get a pell grant next year?

You really need to have a talk with your FA department.

Schools are required to have a SAP (satisfactory academic progress) policy for determining aid eligibility. SAP usually includes things such as a minimum GPA and a minimum successful completion % of all classes attempted. Failure to meet SAP can cause you to be denied financial aid. That would affect all your financial aid - loans as well as grants. Also dropping classes before a certain point in a semester can cause some aid to have to be repaid, so it is always important to check with your FA department before dropping classes.

If you are denied aid there may be an appeals process. If there is it would probably involve something along the lines of explaining why you failed/dropped classes and what you will do differently in the future. If they grant an appeal you might be given probationary aid, in which case it is essential to meet the terms of the probationary period or you will lose aid.

I would suggest not taking 6 classes at once if you are struggling.
