IB is weighted the same as AP in my school and the same goes for Emory.

yes, definitely. You have a C, which is worse than the collapse of Rome.

I am being very serious.

Sensation is that sarcasm? I’m just not willing to take my chances here so I would like to know if you’d be so kind…

You need to keep a 3.0 GPA with a maximum of no more than 1 C (while maintaining the 3.0). Right now you have a 2.85. Try to get the C up or another grade up to an A.

With all seriousness, NO. Even if you have 2 Cs, NO. Even if you have a D, NO.

By the way, good luck with your IB exams. I’m taking them these days, and they are pretty boring.

I don’t think the sarcasm is personal against you, but it does seem kind of ridiculous that you’re worried about one C derailing a decision that was made based on 3.5 years of hard work and dedication that you’ve obviously shown. Chill out, you’ll be fine, and have fun at Emory next year :)

What if the possible D earned on your report card brings your GPA to under a 3.0 (loke a 2.85). Is it possible that you will be rescinded by Emory?

@Cladious
I’m confident that nobody here will be able to answer for you. However, if a D dropped your grade under 3.0…this implies that you also have quite a lot of Cs. In case of Emory college, it seems like they will be bothered by your grade.

However, a lot of colleges ask you for a letter for explanation for a sudden drop of grades before deciding to rescind an applicant.

No. If Emory did then I will go in and screw them over for you.
