Will I get rescinded- UCLA/ Provisional Contract.

Probably the millionth thread on this.

I get this in my contract.

Maintain the grade point average and complete the courses and number of units you reported in your application and in any subsequent course updates. You must be in good standing at your last institution of attendance. Also, if you attended another UC campus in regular session prior to enrollment at UCLA, you must have been in good standing when you left that UC campus. Notify our office immediately of any withdrawals, incomplete grades, drop in academic performance [including an excess of C grades or any D and F grades], or other changes to your class schedule. [See Contacting UCLA.]

I have 3 classes this semester.
If I get 2 Bs and 1C
Will I get rescinded?

I doubt it. What was your GPA at the TAU though?

You should call them to make sure. Some people get explicit instructions to maintain A’s or B’s but your contract is quite general. Do your best in your classes and even with your predicted grades, you should be fine.

What do you mean by TAU?

I was accepted with a 3.18 (Current GPA)

I meant the Transfer Academic Update. If you were accepted with a 3.18 I highly doubt they’ll rescind your admission, but try to get as close to 3.0 as possible.

Cumulative or Semester?

My GPA at the TAU was 3.18 Overall. 4.00 semester.

2 B and 1 C is fine. Just don’t get Fs or Ds

Preferably both. But at the very least, try not to let your cumulative GPA drop below a 3.0.

If I get at least a C in everything. The minimum my cumulative could drop to is 3.01.

The provisional contract is very general, but I would assume they would want around a 3.0? Not sure though…in high school you could get C’s and you would be fine as long as you didn’t get D’s or F’s. I actually want to know the answer to this too!

an excess of c’s means 3 cs.

So pretty much what you’re saying is that 2Cs and 1B would be fine too?

So do we need to get a 3.0 overall and for the semester? Or do we just need a 3.0 overall? Has anyone been rescinded for not meeting the 3.0 semester requirement?

Just get as high of a GPA that you can and hope for the best. :)
