Will I get rescinded?

Has anyone else received a warning letter or hear of this happening? Mine was for a C+ in an AP first semester. Anyone ever hear of that happening before?

The College doesn’t want to rescind you - they clearly felt they’d like to have you in the class of 2021, and rescinding your offer would lower their yield rate (the % of admitted students who enroll). UChicago isn’t in the “needlessly messing with students’ college plans” business.

If you received a warning letter, I suggest you contact your area’s admissions officer. Reach out, make it clear you intend to address this issue, and ask what he/she/they would like to see by the end of the year. Rescinding an offer over one C+ seems draconian - the general rule is to avoid D’s, F’s, and felonies - but I don’t know all the circumstances surrounding your case. They will, and that’s where you’ll find the most helpful answer to your question.

Strange as they typically want year end reports which will have an overall class average for the year.

Did you get accepted EA/ED or RD?

First semester…must have been ED1 or maybe EA.

100% sure they won’t rescind you for a C+.
