U penn is my dream school but one of my friend's told me people get shot in the neighborhood on a regular basis?

Well it would depend on what you call "the neighborhood."

Philadelphia? Probably, but northeast Philly is awfully far away....

West Philly? More than it should happen, but not as "regularly" as, say, the ice cream truck

University City? Shootings there, while more common than at nothing-towns like, say, Princeton, are still an extraordinary rarity.

One student was shot in a 2006 7-11 robbery, i think. She is alive and went on to finish her SEAS degree, I believe. Of course, one Penn student getting shot over my 5 years there still means you have extraordinarily small odds.

With a university population of ~30,000 (10k undergrads, 10k grads, 5k faculty, 5k staff), odds of 1 in 150,000 (30,000 over 5 years) are pretty damn good.

yes all students who go to upenn get shot

Probably. Speaking of which, they have a great medical school.

...Practice makes perfect... =P

Hahahahahhahahahahahahahha

If you won't risk your life coming here, we don't want you anyway
:P

You have to learn to shoot first.

"there Was A Firefight!!!!!!!!!!!!"
