Will I get unaccepted from Michigan state???

I applied for MSU with a 3.4 gpa. My senior year gpa (only my senior year) is about a 2.9. I took 2 AP classes and got 5 c's and two a's in gym and chorus which I know don't really count. Last year, junior year, one of my semester gpa's was a 2.87. Will I get unaccepted? I am really worried.

How do you get a 2.9 from 5 Cs and 2 As? I get <2.6. It is doubtful you will be rescinded without Ds or Fs but try to get a couple of classes pulled up. The best thing to do is call the school to find out.

2 of the classes are weighted lol so they would be weighted as 2 b’s but thank you! I’m going to call today

Don’t call. Simple as that. Especially at a large school like that. Unless you’re almost positive you’ll be rescinded, and you shouldn’t be almost positive without a D, don’t call.

^ You think ignoring it is better?? You think the college won’t notice the grades when they come out? They do. This is a chance to get some real feedback on the college’s expectations for grades.

I wouldn’t call either. While 5 C’s isn’t exactly stellar, you don’t need to draw attention to it. If the university finds that there is a problem with those grades, they won’t rescind you right away - you will have to provide an explanation for your grades - if they deem this acceptable, then you’ll be fine. But that is only in the case that they do have a problem with it. Normally I’ve heard that is when you have several Ds and Fs. But just to be safe get your grades up! Your finals aren’t over yet - you still have time to improve your grades for your last semester.
