Will I need a graphing calculator for Calculus I?

...and for the rest of my college career? Or will my scientific calculator suffice?

I'm in the school of Pharmacy.

You most definitely need a graphing calculator.

Yes!! I’d recommend a TI89. Or, something that handles derivatives and a TI-84

Ha ha, alright, guess I can’t avoid buying this one.

So with a graphing calculator, is it safe to pass my old scientific Texas Instrument down to my little brother good or should I keep it as well?

You can only take the non graphing calculators with you into exams (in general, no calculators in math courses) so don’t give it away
