Will it be manageable?

Hey all,

I’m a student a WVU. I’m a fairly good student, with a 3.5 GPA. I wanted your opinions on my next semester’s coursework.

MAE 243 (Mechanics of Materials)
MAE 331 (Fluid Mechanics)
MATH 261 (Deferential Equations)
CS 110 (Intro to Computer Science)
STAT 215 (Statistics)
ENGL 102 (Some **** writing class haha)

20 Hours

I also work 18 hours a week.

Will it be manageable for a decent student?

I don’t go to your school, so I don’t know what your max credit number is, but ours is 21. I wouldn’t suggest taking 20 hours in that case, especially combined with working 18 hrs a week. Fluid mechanics is hard, differential equations could be hard depending on your teacher/if it’s a weed-out course, and your computer science course might be super time-consuming. If you’ve done 20 hours with 18 hours of work before, then go for it. If you haven’t worked at all before or if you took way fewer classes previously, I’d suggest dropping either diffeq or fluid mechanics if you can still graduate on time pushing either back.

Good luck!
