Will it really take 2-5 days to see my application status?

I just submitted my application an hour ago (I know, lol) and I saw in the description that it said that it can usually take 2-5 days to be able to check our application's status. That really worries me, because the Nov. 1st deadline is rapidly approaching, and I don't want to be blindsided by an incomplete application and get bumped down to RD.

Does it usually take 2-5 days before the application's status can be tracked, or is that just a precautionary disclaimer? Will I be able to track it's status before the end of the priority deadline and make sure all my forms are in? Is there any other way i can check and make sure my application is complete?

Thanks in advance! :)

Yes, it can take that long to show up online. However, what you can do for your own peace of mind in the interim is print a copy of proof of submission of your application. Check with your school to verify they submitted the transcript (and when), same with teacher and guidance recs, and verify date of submission of standardized test scores via your online account with them. Best of luck!

@maryversity Alright! Thank you for the quick and informative response. Hopefully it leans more towards the side of 2 than 5. I sent in my SATs and transcripts a long time ago, so I’m 99% sure they should already be there. I’ll just check on the recs. Thanks so much!

No prob - hopefully, you will see the update sooner rather than later, but it’s always best to be prepared for worst case scenario, especially given system overload/jam so close to the priority deadline…
