I am a senior now. I got in trouble for academic dishonesty (I go to a private boarding school) and as a result I got suspended for 4 days. I will still graduate and get my diploma. I am just wondering if my college will take away my acceptance letter? I am very worried and thank you very much.
The route I would advise you to take is to ask your school’s guidance office if the disciplinary action will be reflected on your transcript, as well you need to know if there is any reason that anyone would proffer this information to the college.
If it will be reflected on your transcript, beyond being a noted absence, then ask guidance to help you craft a letter apprising the college of the suspension, being honest about your role in the academic dishonesty (sounds like you may have allowed someone else to cheat, or you failed to give proper attribution to an idea or work). Ask if guidance, or one of your teachers, would be willing to submit an overall character reference and committed note of support for your retention of the college acceptance.
I wish you well.
