will suspension my senior year effect my college admissions?

hii everyone. could someone help me out with this situation i'm in.... i was just recently suspended from school for 5 days for being under the influence of alcohol(i know how stupid can i be) and i already got into the college i want to go to. but will my suspension be a problem with my admission can they deny it? do they even need to know about it?

Yes, you could be rescinded. To my knowledge, all colleges require final transcripts as well as information from counselors about whether the student has had senior year disciplinary problems.

When you applied you probably signed a statement to inform the college of any disciplinary actions. Most high schools will inform a students colleges of a suspension. Usually the way it works is you send your own letter of explanation and the school sends one as well. Try to write a letter that is humble and apologetic. You might say that you have learned your lesson now and will not make the same mistake in college, or something along those lines. I don’t think you will lose acceptances for an alcohol-related suspension - but it is possible.
