Okay so two weeks ago I dropped my AP Computer Science class after I spoke with an admissions counselor who said doing so wouldn't affect my admissions. The problem is that the counselor was for UCSB's office, the school that I thought I was going to attend. So when I got the okay from her, I dropped the class. Certain things have come up for me so I am now considering attending UCI. I was stupid in not checking with the UCI admissions counselor as well before dropping the class, but at that time I was 99% sure I was going to UCSB. I can't call their office right now since they're closed and I need some kind of feedback to calm my anxiety. haha. The other AP's I'm taking are AP Statistics and AP Government and I have A's in all my classes. Sooo, my question is do you think UCI would rescind my admission for dropping comp. sci.?

I doubt it buddy

They only rescind for bad grades. I don't think they hold it against you if it doesn't appear on your transcript at all.

For the accelerated dental program at UoP, which is really selective, would a few B's second semester result in getting admission rescinded? My friend's going to go and he's really freaked out. I don't think he will be deadmitted, because his GPA would be well above 3.0 UW. Any feedback would be great. :-)

I really doubt that UCI will have a different policy from UCSB. You should be fine. Call to make it "official."

(As others said, it's the GPA that matters.)
