I was accepted to UCF for the summer term and am really excited to go but now I'm scared my admissions will be revoked. I took 5 ap classes senior year, one of which was spanish language. I don't speak any spanish but wasn't able to switch out of the class and I'm afraid I failed the second semester but we haven't received final grades yet. What do you think my chances are of being revoked? Btw- my scores/gpa were pretty average (25 act, 1150 sat, 3.4 gpa unweighted)

Anyone?

Well, firstly, how do you place into an AP Spanish class if you don’t speak any Spanish?

Anyway, when you say failed, do you mean you truly failed (as in F)? If so, yes, you had better have a good explanation as to why you failed the class. Cs are one thing, Ds and Fs are another.

Well I had taken the first three years of spanish and signed up for spanish 4 but they placed me into ap instead which is a completely different deal. Its common (atleast here) for schools to force a student to stay in an ap class despite how unprepared they may be due to the money they receive for each student in it.

And yes, when I say fail I mean fail as in F. I have four other ap classes though and my final grades are all either As or Bs so everything is fine except for spanish which is why I’m questioning whether the school will care too much, especially since I am already taking two more years then what is required for forgein language.
