I go to a private school and well we follow a different grading scale than public school. If my school were to follow the same scale my GPA would be way higher than what it is now and i could probably get into a good college. So my question is will certain colleges convert my GPA to follow their scale? because colleges have the same scale as public school and i really want to get into a good college but i am worried.

Colleges look at you within the context of your school. They’ll see how your school calculates GPA and will adjust how they look at your GPA based on that.

For example, if a school graded on a 1.0 scale, they wouldn’t see “1.0” and think “failed.”

Some colleges recalculate GPAs, others don’t. All of them, though, will consider your GPA based on your school and how it is calculated.

Thank you so much! You have no idea how happy i am to know that, i really appreciate it!
