Looking to major in computational mathematics

Yeah my GPA is horrible but i was hoping my advance level of mathematics will offset it maybe?
Chance me please for UCB,UCLA,UCSD,USC, and Cal Poly SLO or suggest some schools that you think i would be suited for

Is that senior schedule something you have already taken, or are planning to take? Because, as someone who has taken all those classes while earning a physics degree (not at Stanford but at a pretty good school), I really think it is far wiser to pick a couple and do really well in them. To really understand that stuff requires concentration and effort, and I see no reason to take all the junior college level classes in your senior year of high school. Sure, you could probably pass, but would you really stand out in the classes? Probably not. Complex analysis and partial differential equations at Stanford is so far removed from basic calculus at a JC it is not even funny.

Of course, if you’ve already taken all that stuff and still have a 3.5 GPA, forget everything I’ve written. You’re a genius. I don’t know if you’ll be able to get in wherever you want with your grades and tests scores, but you probably should.
Just my 2 cents.

I think you’d have a reasonable chance at NYU, Michigan, Rutgers, S Brook, Wisconsin and Maryland. Keep in mind those are grad school rankings and the ndergrad programs may or may not be as good. Also that if you need aid, none of these are good choices.

i dont see your gpa as being significantly low compared to the admissions statistics for most uc’s…
do you guys think i got a chance and UC Davis

My uc gpa: 3.62 weighted (yea i know…loww)
My sat score: math-780
cr- 600
writing-720
overall- 2100

Hurt…yea but it has to be a “uc-approved” honors course

some aren’t approved which sucks because I took honors chem last year because we dont have ap but its not approved as a weighted course in the uc system so it only counts as a normal course
