Ok so i have been to 2 JC's and have a GPA of 2.2 at one and 2.4 at the other. i have a TOTAL of 30 units taken at both combined... now.. The school i want to attend says you must have a transcript with atleast 24 units to transfer in with no ACT or SAT scores... are those 24 units they want only classes that transfer?? or just have taken that many classes even though some of F's, D's, C's, Is all they are looking for the number of 24 units or more?? and when i transfer (if i do) will they let me re-take classes i have failed 3 times at a JC? like math? I failed it 3 times and could no longer take it again.. will the school im transfering to drop all my bad grades?? also.. If the classes i got D's and F's in get dropped when i transfer over... will that mean i dont have the 24 units i need to transfer?? please help! thanks

where is it that you want to transfer? How long have you been in school? first of all go to another school and retake the classes you failed, and since you have a dismal chance of transfering anyway stay in community college and take say 30 more credits and then transfer. Depends on your situation. Also the school is just looking for the number 24

Most colleges will want you to have completed your college level math course before transfer–but not all colleges. So step one is for you to get very familiar with a few targeted transfer colleges and know their requirements as well as gauge if you can get in with a 2.3 GPA.

I also agree you may want to spend more time at the community college level and bring up your GPA, retake some of those F and D grades, etc. It will be cheaper to do it at CC and it can only help your transfer GPA.

And finally, the best way to figure this stuff out is to talk to a transfer counselor at your current CC about your goals and what you need to do next.
