Will my SAT scores ruin my app??

Got 780 MATH 2 760 PHYS
Feeling pretty deflated considering I'm applying to 4 Ivies, with Columbia as my top choice, plus Stanford and Chicago with a 2320 in SAT 1 (one sitting). Do you think these scores will severely diminish my prospects?

"Do you think these scores will severely diminish my prospects? "

There will be people accepted with those scores and less. There will be people rejected with scores higher than those. you’re viable. That’s all you can ask.

I don’t understand. A 2320 on the SAT is above average for Harvard…and any school in America, as far as I can tell.

Your SAT’s are very very strong…anything above 2250 is easily Ivy League material.

Am I missing something here?

Ignore OP. He/she is obviously trolling. How can one think a 2320 out of 2400 will ruin an application for any school in the country?

I’m sorry about the confusion, I meant my SAT 2

I really hope I don’t meet people like you in college tbh

I have a 2360 and am applying ED, but I think score-wise you’re fine; 2320 is within range. However, I’m worried because based on chance threads Columbia has rejected many 2400 applicants and it’s quite unpredictable so I think ECs matter much more.

You’re within the range for Columbia (assuming your GPA is similar). At this point, ECs/essays matter more.

I read above 2300 the rest of your application matters way more. Don’t stress!

Dude for real, people like you make me not even want to apply. I was hoping to apply to Columbias engineering school. I have a 33 act and a 35 math along with a math 2 770. Are these decent for Columbia? I have a 4.32 gpa 10/270 (Top 3 . 4 percent) and really good extra circulars.

2300-2400 is practically the same result in their eyes. And the SAT 2 scores don’t look like they’d hurt.

I really hope I don’t meet people like you in college tbh

^lmao this

I wish I had your score. I got a 1480 out of 2400. I think I should be the one worrying. (Not that Im applying to any ivies)
