will my scores get there on time?

I am taking the SAT Math II's on Nov. 1 so they probably won't get the scores till mid november.

I am going to apply to engineering school maybe in early/mid october. How long does it take to make a decision? Cause i want them to have my Math II scores before they accept/decline me...

If you are taking Calculus and expect to get a 3 or better on the AP test then the Math IIs are worthless. Just focus on getting a good SAT score and you’ll be ok. Regardless, they should get it in time. Unless they have changed something, applications are due by Feb 1st.

Actually, UT has changed a number of things this year. Regular deadline is Jan 15, instead of Feb 1.
For D’s high school, this affects a lot; for example, last year, kids at her school close to the top 10% cutoff had one last chance, one final push, during the fall semester to get in the top 10%. But this year, whatever their ranking is now is what UT will consider.

If you have siblings or friends following behind you, note that next year UT’s deadline will move up to Dec 15 and the year after to Dec 1.
The other big thing that’s changed is the way the housing deadline works. This year, seniors have to actually submit their apps (essays and everything - but not scholarship app) before they can access the housing app and put down a deposit.
Last year, I believe that people could just put their name on a list for housing on some special date like Sept 1 even if they had not yet applied to UT.

Anyway, azndude1, I don’t know the answer to your question - just wanted to make note of that app deadline change.

thanks..good to know

Last fall, high school seniors had to (“were able to”?) apply for housing on October 1 at 6 a.m. Central time, 7 a.m. Eastern time.

azn dude, In my D’s experience, SAT II scores that wee sent electronically by college board got into the UT system electronically quickly - a week after the time that “the test had been scored and College Board had our request to send the scores”
