No one from my school (or even district) to my knowledge has ever attended WUSTL, at least not since I've been there. And I don't know of anyone else who's applying from my school. Will this help at all? Or hurt? It seems like WashU wants to get their name out there, so I thought that maybe they'd like to accept someone from a "new" school/area.

When I was accepted, only 3 people from my class had applied (we all were accepted, 2 of us are here now), and there had only been 1 person from my school who had attended Wash U in the previous 4 years (and who knows how few before then). Last year, around 10 people from my school applied (6 who deserved to go here & had the academics and activites to back it up), and 4 of the 6 good candidates were accepted. The other 2 of the 6 were waitlisted, and the other 4 were rejected to my knowledge. It should not hurt you that nobody from your school has attended before, and it may even help.

Lol, no. (10 char)

Damn!!I got wait-listed last year~~~should I still try transfer there?(Im now in a top 20 Liberal arts<--expensive)

What if no one from your school has ever even gone to college?

To eileenc.......um.....Wash U is also pretty up there.......so transferring isn't going to relieve you from any financial burden....
