will not visitng washU hurt your chances?

it seems that most people who are accepted to WUSTL have visited the school (perhaphs because this shows that they are genuinely interested in the school). but what if you can't visit the school because your family just can't afford the travel fare?

Don't worry about it- a lot of people I know here (including myself) didn't visit until after we were accepted (and they pay for your airfare too).

nowadays, if you go to an information meeting it is counted the same as visiting the campus. i think colleges are starting to realize how difficult it is for people to travel all over the nation visiting schools.

I didn't visit until after I was accepted, so I wouldn't worry.

I agree. There are other ways to show interest besides a campus visit. Local Information Sessions are a great way to show interest. Also, don't ask me how, but a person from WashU e-mailed me and wanted to have a sort of over the phone interview. It was really informative and got me more sold on WashU.
