Will NYU Stern still accept my decision?

Hello,

I have quite a unique query, partly to do with my inability to make decisions.

This April, when I got an offer from NYU Stern, I accepted their offer of admission. However, hours before the deadline on May 1st, I politely asked them to withdraw my offer as I decided that another program was more fit for me. They said it was fine. I had already paid the deposit, so I had to give that up also.

However, it’s been a month but due to several reasons (personal, circumstantial, and family), I decided that going to New York may be the choice for me. Is there ANY point in me sending them an email to NYU admissions? I heard that Stern didn’t take many of the waitlist, but I still want to know.

Also, is it possible they might tell my current school I emailed them asking if I could swap? I know it’s my fault, but with a decision like this for my future, I don’t want to have any regrets. But I also don’t want to have my offer withdrawn from both schools.

Time is of the essence, so if you have any experience on this topic please help me!

Well you aren’t on a waitlist. They will not email your current school. I have to doubt the offer would be reinstates at this point but in such a in demand program but they are the only ones who can tell you so you would have to ask. But what will you do when you change your mind again?

I will not change my mind again. And I’ll make it clear to them in my email once I send them and apologize.

@BrownParent but do you think it’s still worth a shot? Considering I did pay my deposit, and I checked my NYU account. It still hasn’t been deleted. Thank you!

No idea

Why wouldn’t you at least try? The worst that can happen is they say no.
